Access Your Barcode: Next Steps for Your GS1 US GTIN

When you licensed your GS1 US® GTIN, you provided essential product details—like your brand name and item description.

This information is automatically loaded into our tool where you can access your GTIN and barcode.

Follow these steps to generate your barcode image.

  1. Log In and navigate to My Products & Barcodes
  2. Click on the GTIN link to open the Product Detail Record
  3. Click View Barcode

This message appears when you have used all GTINs available within your licensed GS1 Company Prefix or individual GS1 US GTIN. When your prefix or identifier reaches full capacity, you cannot create additional GTINs.

To create more GTINs, you must license an additional identifier. Visit the GS1 US Store to view available options and complete your purchase. Not sure how many identifiers you need? Check out our Barcode Estimator tool. 

A few minutes after you complete your transaction, you can return to your GS1 US account and assign more GTINs.

You can add a shipping/receiving item for your product. This shipping/receiving item cannot be sold to consumers.

GS1 US Data Hub automatically assigns a GTIN-14 to this item. You can also generate an ITF-14 barcode for these items.

You can enter additional attributes to your product, such as Target Market and Unit of Measure. To learn more, view the Enhance Your GTIN and Adding Product Dimensions articles.

Note: There are certain fileds/attributes that cannot be changed once a Product is In Use. View the How to Edit and Update Your Product article for guidance.

By default, your product is shared with a global audience. But you can change this default setting.

Click Manage Account, Data Management, then Share Settings. To stop sharing, uncheck the box for Share Your Products (GTINs). Then click Save Settings.

Your GTINs, which include any shipping/receiving items you may have created, will no longer be shared. Read the Share Products article for more details.
